DEUTSCHE EDELSTAHLWERKE selected a marking and tracking solution from INTELMET

One of the largest German steel producers is investing in Industry 4.0 and ordered from INTELMET a tracking solution for blooms and ingots covering the route to the finished-product warehouse.

An automatic hot-bloom tagging system will be installed at DEW-Stahl in Witten at the exit of the 2-strand continuous caster. A metal-tag industrial printer will stand at the ingot casting site. Another industrial printer will be installed at DEW-Stahl in Siegen for billet tagging.

Scope also includes basic and detail engineering and integration with the customer’s Level 2 system.
